Bei unserem ersten Radausflug durch eher flaches Gel\u00e4nde werden wir mit dem tropischen Regenwald vertraut gemacht. Eine unglaubliche Farbenpracht umgibt uns. Affen, Nasenb\u00e4ren und farbenfrohe V\u00f6gel gibt es zu entdecken. Puriscal ist bekannt f\u00fcr seine Keramik und Kaffeproduktion. Diese begleiten uns auf der Radstrecke, ebenso wie die kilometerlangen Obstbaumplantagen. Heute fahren wir bis Florencia und starten hier mit den R\u00e4dern \u00fcber Nebenstra\u00dfen nach La Fortuna. Unterwegs erhalten wir Einblicke in die landwirtschaftlich gepr\u00e4gte Szenerie dieser Ebene.Es gibt hier so ziemlich alles im Anbau, was in Costa Rica w\u00e4chst: Ananas, Yuca, Bananen und vieles mehr, laden zum Naschen ein. Tag 4 Arenal <\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gr\u00f6\u00dfter See Costa Ricas am Fu\u00dfe des gleichnamigen Vulkans! Wir brechen zum Tropischen Regenwald zur H\u00e4ngebr\u00fcckenwanderung auf! Ein wundersch\u00f6ner Fu\u00dfmarsch, bei welchem traumhafte T\u00e4ler \u00fcber schwankende Br\u00fccken \u00fcberquert werden m\u00fcssen. Baumriesen und W\u00fcrgefeigen, Bergbambus, Orchideen, Farne und Lianen, das gr\u00fcne Urwaldickicht zeigt uns all seine Sch\u00e4tze. Am Abend kann eines der vom hei\u00dfen Wasser des Arenal-Vulkans gespeisten Thermalb\u00e4der (fakultativ ca. 40$) besucht werden. Heute verlassen wir Costa Rica und erreichen das emsige Nicaragua. Ein l\u00e4ngerer Transfer bringt uns nach Santa Catalina, einem der fr\u00fcher f\u00fcr seinen Hexenkult ber\u00fchmten wei\u00dfen D\u00f6rfer, am Hang oberhalb des Einsturzkraters der \u201eLaguna de Apoyo\u201d. Nachdem wir den grandiosen Ausblick \u00fcber die Lagune und den in der Ferne sichtbaren Nicaragua-See genossen haben, radeln wir auf kleinen Stra\u00dfen und Feldwegen bis ins Herz von Granada, zu unserem Hotel. L\u00e4ndliches Leben, eine \u00fcppige tropische Landschaft und das unglaubliche Blau der Laguna pr\u00e4gen die Etappe. Granada ist die \u00e4lteste Kolonialstadt Mittelamerikas. Tag 9 Granada Wanderung am Mombacho<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Mit einem kurzen Transfer (15 min) \u00fcberbr\u00fccken wir die Distanz zum Fluss des Hausberges von Granada – des imposanten Mombachos. Ein Truck bringt uns hoch zum Kraterrand, von wo aus verschiedene Wanderrouten durch den intakten Prim\u00e4r-Regenwald starten. Br\u00fcllaffen sind fast immer zu sehen (und vor allem zu h\u00f6ren). Granada selbst verdient am Nachmittag noch unsere Aufmerksamkeit. Tag 10 Belan\/Rivas – San Juan del Sur 41 km<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Rivas liegt an der Panamericana, etwa 4 km vom Westufer des Nicaragua-Sees entfernt, zwischen der Grenze zu Costa Rica, bei Pe\u00f1as Blancas im S\u00fcden (35 km) und der Hauptstadt Managua im Norden (100 km). Er fungiert als wichtiger Knotenpunkt zum K\u00fcstenort San Juan del Sur am Pazifik. Transfer nach Belen und Radetappe zwischen dem Nicaragua-See \u00fcber die von Weideland gepr\u00e4gten H\u00f6henz\u00fcge zum Pazifik. Unterwegs besuchen wir eine Dorfschule und erfahren mehr \u00fcber das Zusammenleben in diesem Land, welches ohne Armee auskommt. Auch der Besuch des farbenfrohen Marktes, kurz vor unserer Ankunft im Hotel am Pazifik, gibt uns einen weiteren Einblick in das t\u00e4gliche Leben der Dorfbewohner. Unsere einfach zu radelnde Etappe f\u00fchrt zu den Str\u00e4nden von Santo Domingo. Ometepe ist immer noch sehr authentisch, da sich der Tourismus nur langsam entwickelt. Tag 12 La Cruz – Junquillal 30 km<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Wir verabschieden uns von Nicaragua und fahren an der Pazifikk\u00fcste entlang zur\u00fcck nach Costa Rica. Hier folgen wir \u00fcber mehreren Kilometern der eindrucksvollen K\u00fcstenlandschaft des Pazifiks und seinen einsamen Str\u00e4nden. Auf dem Weg zum 2.704 m hohen Vulkan \u201ePo\u00e1s\u201d radeln wir zwischen Kaffeeplantagen und Gem\u00fcsefeldern. Unglaublich viele Gr\u00fcnt\u00f6ne umschlie\u00dfen uns und bilden eine fantastische Kulisse. Geheimnisvoll ist der Gipfel Po\u00e1s. Er ist immer wieder in Wolken geh\u00fcllt und l\u00e4sst eine unglaublich mystische Stimmung entstehen.
