Biarritz est \u00e9galement connue comme \u00e9tant la reine du Pays Basque. Apr\u00e8s une visite guid\u00e9e de la ville \u00e0 travers les rues historiques et les villas Belle \u00c9poque, un petit d\u00e9lice culinaire vous attend ! Visite du mus\u00e9e du chocolat. Nous plongeons dans le monde myst\u00e9rieux et app\u00e9tissant du chocolat. Bien s\u00fbr, une d\u00e9gustation s\u2019ensuit ! Ensuite, nous enfourchons le v\u00e9lo pour atteindre le phare de Biarritz qui s’\u00e9l\u00e8ve \u00e0 73 m d’altitude\u00a0: 248 marches attendent d’\u00eatre gravies. Une fois en haut, la vue panoramique \u00e0 couper le souffle est notre r\u00e9compense. La piste cyclable<\/strong> de l\u2019Atlantique V\u00e9lodyss\u00e9e<\/strong>, qui relie Biarritz \u00e0 Hendaye<\/strong>, offre une vue diversifi\u00e9e sur la c\u00f4te. Sur le chemin, nous nous arr\u00eatons dans la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre station baln\u00e9aire de Saint-Jean-de-Luz<\/strong> avant d’arriver \u00e0 Ciboure<\/strong>. Ciboure m\u00e9rite un s\u00e9jour plus long\u00a0: Son phare d’Andr\u00e9 Pavloski, son Fort Socoa, son monast\u00e8re \u00ab\u00a0Le clo\u00eetre des r\u00e9collets \u00bb ainsi que sa fontaine, offerte par le cardinal Mazarin. Une visite d\u2019un genre particulier est celle de la Villa Art D\u00e9co Leihorra<\/strong>. Villa class\u00e9e style Art-d\u00e9co construite en 1926. Un joyau sur la c\u00f4te atlantique ! Nous commen\u00e7ons la journ\u00e9e \u00e0 v\u00e9lo par la visite de l’un des plus beaux villages de France: Ainhoa<\/strong>. \u00c0 seulement quelques kilom\u00e8tres d’Espelette et de son c\u00e9l\u00e8bre piment, l’histoire d’Ainhoa remonte jusqu’au XIIIe si\u00e8cle. Situ\u00e9 sur le chemin de Saint-Jacques, notre chemin peut croiser les chevaux sauvages qui y vivent, les pots-de-pot et, bien s\u00fbr, un \u00e9chantillon du Piment d\u2019Espelette<\/strong> qui y pousse ne doivent pas manquer. Nous longeons les routes sinueuses de la Nive jusqu’\u00e0 Saint Jean Pied le Port<\/strong>. Nous nous arr\u00eatons \u00e0 la citadelle qui domine la petite ville encore tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9serv\u00e9e au d\u00e9but du \u00ab\u00a0Camino Frances<\/strong>\u00ab\u00a0. Transfert dans la province de B\u00e9arn<\/strong> et randonn\u00e9e \u00e0 v\u00e9lo<\/strong> le long de la route des vins de la r\u00e9gion viticole de Juran\u00e7on. Vignobles, villages viticoles pittoresques et ch\u00e2teaux se trouvent sur notre parcours qui se termine dans un premier temps chez un viticulteur avec d\u00e9gustation de vin<\/strong>. Elle est bien m\u00e9rit\u00e9e ! Poursuite du parcours vers Pau. Pau est une ancienne ville royale et capitale de la province b\u00e9arnaise<\/strong>. Nous traversons la c\u00e9l\u00e8bre avenue des Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es, une avenue longue de 1,8 km, qui permet une vue imprenable sur les Pyr\u00e9n\u00e9es pour arriver enfin au ch\u00e2teau de Pau<\/strong>, lieu de naissance du roi Henri IV<\/strong>.
