Description

Southeast of the waltz metropolis of Vienna – where the puszta, reed belt and vineyards meet – lies the unique nature reserve Neusiedler See – home of the wine king. Gentle wine hills, reed belts and salt marshes characterize this landscape – in between are idyllic wine villages with stork nests on the roofs, rare bird and animal species such as bee-eaters or the endangered Mangalica pigs and Przewalski’s horses. The region is known for its award-winning top wines, and Pannonian cuisine is a special taste experience. Individual routes can be planned according to your mood. The water sports Eldorado for sailors and surfers offers an excellent network of cycle paths in a fascinating landscape with diverse fauna and flora.
